Phish.net, operating continuously since 1994, is a project of The Mockingbird Foundation, Inc., a New York not for profit corporation and 501(c)(3) public charity formed and operated by Phish fan volunteers principally to raise funds for music education. The Foundation is independent of the band Phish and the band’s WaterWheel Foundation (and any other charity the band may support). It is managed by a Board of Directors, presently comprised of fourteen unpaid members. The Foundation is run entirely by volunteers, and it has no paid staff or physical offices.
The Foundation’s principal purposes are to archive and distribute information about Phish’s music and performances, and to donate proceeds from this and other fundraising activities for the benefit of music education programs for (typically underprivileged) children and young adults. As of 2016, the Foundation’s 20th anniversary, it has raised more than one million dollars and distributed that amount in more than 285 grants in 47 states.
More information on the Foundation is available at our sister website <
https://mbird.org> and social media:
More information on the band Phish, its tours, and ticketing is available on the band’s official website, phish.com, which is unaffiliated with Phish.net and the Foundation. Please refer to their FAQ and any other questions about contacting the band, getting tickets, your ticket lottery entry, having Phish play specific songs at your loved one’s birthday,100th show or in memoriam tribute, getting a shout out from Trey on that special occasion, or using their trademarked logo on your wedding cake or tattoo (these are all actual help requests that we have received). Neither Phish.net nor the Foundation can be of any assistance with such requests. Phish.net and the Foundation are wholly managed and operated separately from the band Phish, its management, and Phish.com.
