Phish has played this Van Morrison tune on only one occasion. Beach pop maverick Jimmy Buffett joined the band for the encore on 11/16/95, after conferring with the band and finding it was the one tune both he and they knew. A fun but mediocre version, the performance was surely enjoyed most by those in attendance that night. Morrison’s original was first called “Brown Skinned Girl,” and was subjected to censorship for its line about “makin’ love.”
