Performed at Phish's first ever gig (under the name “Blackwood Convention”), this familiar Who song derives from Who by Numbers, the band’s disappointing 1975 follow-up to Quadrophenia. At a “show” featuring only covers, “Squeeze Box” preceded The Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues,” another song that prior to 2000 when the full setlist of this show was unearthed was not known to have ever been covered by Phish.
